Appreciated Stocks and Securities

Long-term appreciated capital gain property (such as stock) is one of the most common ways to make non-cash gifts to the church. These gifts are tax deductible at the full fair market value, subject to some limitations, and save you the cost of paying capital gains tax on the appreciated value.
